CL has another magazine appearance under her belt, but this recent feature is particularly special.
Though it's not uncommon for idols and stars to be featured in the Korean 'W', the 2NE1 leader was featured in 'W', the American fashion magazine. 'W' magazine listed her as one of the 6 international pop stars with incredible cultural significance. The others named as the '6 Un-American Idols' are Gaby Amarantos of Brazil, Sirusho of Armenia, Jelena Karleusa of Serbia, Haifa Wehbe of Lebanon, and Googoosha of Uzbekistan.

YG Entertainment has started the 'YG Hologram Show' concerts featuring 2NE1 and Psy!
The 3D hologram concerts kicked off at the 'Korea Brand and Entertainment Expo 2013' held at Old Billingsgate in London on November 4 and will be shown until the 6th. According to the shows' official site, YGE will be throwing Big Bang into the mix soon.

2NE1's Dara seems to be reliving her younger years. The idol was previously spotted hanging around a jungle gym, and today, she hit up the arcade for some DDR.

Dara posted to me2day, "Why do the kids who are good at Pump It Up (Korean version of DDR) always grab the bar behind them? Reminiscing with Pump." In the photo she shared, the 4D 2NE1 member looks ready to go with her hand on the bar behind her.
Fans responded, "She looks like she'd be good at it," "Wow, Pump brings back memories," "Dara is not kidding with her style," and "Dara's Pump pose is awesome."

miss A kicked off the teasing process for their second studio album 'Hush' yesterday with a group photo, so they're back today with a solo cut of member Min today!
Min gets fans intrigued with her teaser cut as she manages to look sexy yet sorrowful at the same time looking off into the distance. She's also standing under a shower head getting wet, adding to the sad and mysterious vibe of the photo.

Like mentioned before, the new album will have a total of thirteen songs, including seven entirely new songs. The title song, as mentioned, will be E-Tribe's "Hush" while the other new songs are by names like Lee Woo Min, Park Woo Sang, No Day, and more.

2NE1's Dara embraced her inner child by going wild at a playground recently.

Dara tweeted, "I play the best," referring to 2NE1's "I am the Best", and, "Children's seesaw~ more scary than you'd think."

She also posted a few photos of herself playing around on a jungle gym. She looks excited on the seesaw as she shows her playful charm.

YG Family will come out to show their support for Team A and B during the 'WIN' finale this Friday!

According to YG Entertainment on the 23rd, Yang Hyun Suk, Big Bang, 2NE1, Epik High, and more will come out to the finale to show support for the YG trainees.
The 'K-Pop Star' line, including Lee Hi, Akdong Musician, and Bang Ye Dam, will also sing Tamia's "Officially Missing You" for a special collaboration stage, while G-Dragon is bringing Team A and B together again to perform "Crooked".

The two-hour finale will be held at SK Olympic Handball Stadium and broadcast live on Mnet, KM, OnStyle, and Olive, and viewers can tune in to vote for Team A or B. The first and second rounds will count for 20% of the vote each, while the final vote will account for 60%. As YGE CEO Yang Hyun Suk has already announced, the winning team will go on to form the group WINNER, while the losing team will be disbanded.

Tune in to watch and vote during the finale on October 25 at 9 PM KST!

At the banquet, President Park commented on the two countries' growing relationship. She said, "Now, the Philippines and Korea are true partners for mutual cooperation in all fields."


She also said, "As citizens of the Philippines share the same emotions with Korean citizens through Korean drama, music, and food, if over one million Korean tourists were to visit the Philippines, they would not only be charmed by the lovely nature but also by the Filipinos' warm hearts . . . The guests listened to traditional Korean and Filipino music at the cross-cultural meeting as well.

The 2NE1 members are up to their '4D' ways again.

On October 14, Dara tweeted, "Upset about a watch, yet happy because of a fan meeting. This kid is weird. She had always treasured the watch she lost because it meant a lot to her. That might be why she lost her senses temporarily. But it's cute. >.< Now, let's go again to our second fan meeting." 
In the photo she shared, Dara looks a bit alarmed and concerned for her fellow 2NE1 member CL, who is posing rather humorously with what appears to be a slice of orange in her mouth.


Netizens said they looked cute and wondered what kind of meaning the watch had. Hopefully, the watch will miraculously show up later!

CL teases fans uploading photos of herself eating 2NE1's popcorn. The pink cute container she has around her neck seems like filled of delicious popcorn exclusively for 2NE1. She's enjoying it and even captioned, "2NE1popcornisgoood".
Fans seemed amused when they commented, "Oh where to get that?","I want 2NE1 popcorn too!","Looks yummy and I want some too." and so on.

As the newly appointed ambassadors, 2NE1 will hold a 3D-hologram concert overseas at the 'Korea Brand and Entertainment Expo 2013' ('KBEE 2013') this November!

The YG Entertainment girl group attended the ambassador ceremony at the KOTRA (Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency) headquarters in Seochogu, Seoul on the 10th where they announced, "As part of the expo, we will hold the world's first 3D-hologram concert for three days this November."


2NE1 shared, "A hologram concert was recently done by Psy at the Everland Resort. After watching that concert, it felt like he was actually there performing. It's an honor for us to show a hologram concert as well in London... We had fun filming it. It will feel like you're watching our concert in person. Please look forward to it."


The 'KBEE 2013' will be held at Old Billingsgate in London on November 4-6

2NE1's Minzy recently took some time off to hang with her fellow YG Entertainment family!


Posing with two of the newest additions to their roster, Akdong Musician and Lee Hi, the comparatively-senior Minzy displayed her closeness with an impromptu snapshot. "Lovely juniors," she posted to her Instagram. It seems the group went bowling before her a few days ago. Looks like their initial awkwardness is turning into friendship.


Now she's gotten us thinking about a 2NE1-Akdong-Lee Hi collaboration! Surely it would be too awesome for the world to handle, but no harm in dreaming, right?

A lot of idols make a ton of their money through CFs (Commercial Films / endorsements).  Likewise, a lot of CFs feature idols because what's a greater way to attract a crowd to their product than have a beautiful and popular celebrity show it off?


One surefire way of knowing a celebrity has become popular is by the sudden increase in CFs.  Regardless, some of these CFs are just straightforward or honestly kind of awkward.  Casting those aside, we chose the top 10 CFs that feature idols!  Check out the list below and enjoy.

1. Girls' Generation & 2PM - Caribbean Bay

Um, hello, this is pretty much the CF Korean version of the American series Baywatch, meaning you get to basically see scantily clad Girls' Generation and 2PM members run around in slow motion, splashing water everywhere.  There is a LOCKER SCENE for goodness sake where they tease you by flashing bits of their body while they change.  2PM gets to show off their abs while Girls' Generation show off their own rather impressive abs and more notably, their ridiculously long legs.  Caribbean Bay is definitely doing a smart move here by promising people who visit their water park that if they were to, let's say, pretend to be drowning, someone as gorgeous as a 2PM or Girls' Generation member will come running (hopefully in real-time, not slow motion as gorgeous as that may look) to save them--and perhaps give mouth-to-mouth.  Now what I don't get is the whole love storyline.  You clearly want the bodyguard to fall in love with you, not already be in a relationship with another gorgeous bodyguard.  Then, there's some sexy club dancing that turns into a synchronized 'High School Musical'-esque dance scene, which is a bit strange, but okay!  Still an awesome CF so two thumbs up!

2. T.O.P - Calvin Klein Jeans (Brooklyn Boy)

Whoa, okay, when T.O.P starts talking in the first few seconds of this CF, you're already hooked.  His voice is deep and hypnotic.  He keeps saying, "I like the wind," and I want to tell him if he loves the wind so much we could totally do a rendition of 'Gone With the Wind' together.  I actually never watched the movie.  We will make a movie and just steal the title.  We could set it in Brooklyn and he could look cool like he normally does just like in the CF, but let's pick a different soundtrack.  I don't want him listening to another woman.

3. Big Bang & 2NE1 - LG Lollipop

This collaboration is awesome because you know the two groups are working together for this CF, yet at the same time it becomes a fun battle between the two groups.  They make everything really chill and fun so you wish you were on that awesome, colorful dance floor with them.  Not to mention, their outfits are just so unique yet they pull them off nicely.  Lastly, this song is very catchy!  Come on, sing along, "Lolli-lolli-lollipop."

4. Dara & Lee Min Ho - Cass Beer (Kiss)

Another CF with a full storyline that could totally be expanded into a K-Drama--after all, this one also includes popular actor Lee Min Ho.  I can see it now.  Poor girl dreams of being a famous DJ and works part time at a hotel when she encounters rich playboy.  Their relationship has a rocky start because he's just such a jerk but then bam, another chance encounter.  And even a make over?!  The wealthy guy is even putting shoes on her like she's really Cinderella.  But then there's a plot twist . . . including a reverse ambush kiss!  This should really be a drama.  That'd be awesome.

5. Suzy - Vita500 

Suzy is the reigning CF Queen so she definitely has to be on the list.  One of the main reasons she is so popular in the CF world is because she is so cute!  Her pretty face and adorable antics definitely make the product appealing.  Plus, she tends to sing her songs, like the one here, making viewers nod their heads along because it is so catchy and her voice is so nice.  Who doesn't want Suzy to visit the office and hand out healthy Vita500 drinks??

6. TVXQ & Girls' Generation - Anycall Haptic

I understand that 'Haptic' means 'touch' and it's called a 'Haptic' phone because it's a touch-screen, but I find it hilarious that these SM artists keep saying 'Haptic' randomly whenever they touch or want to have physical contact with one another.  It's fun and quirky and cute.  A lot of stuff in these CFs seem kind of random, but they're still funny--especially TVXQ's over the top comedy.  I especially, absolutely love how Junsu keeps being the odd one out in these love match-ups and just comes in the end of each CF to freak out.

7.  Big Bang - iStation PMP

This might be my favorite.  It is so funny.  Who doesn't want to magically summon Big Bang to a bus to keep you entertained while you're waiting for your stop?  You get to make them do whatever you want--dance, look at you with smoldering eyes, rap, act pretty, etc.  It is funny watching them comply with everything.

8.  MBLAQ - ChapStick

If you combine all the MBLAQ ChapStick CFs, you have a 30 minute drama on your hands.  This girl is not in a love triangle, though.  It is way more completed.  She has to figure out which of the five guys kissed her secretly when the lights were out!  Since it's such an elaborate storyline and each MBLAQ member performs his character very well, I think it should be on this list.  Also, this CF captures the moment Thunder claims he had his first kiss (kind of ironic cause also on this list is his sister Dara singing "Kiss.")

9.  IU - Samsung Galaxy S Hoppin

This is just an adorable and hilarious commercial.  The IU fanboy is so into IU's performance on his cell phone that he doesn't realize she's sitting right behind him despite all her antics to get him to notice.  After she gets off the bus, he realizes his mistake and . . . biggest regret of his life.  I really like this CF cause it's creative and funny and IU is so cute the way she tries to get him to notice her!  Kudos to the guy, too, for his acting.  Must have been hard to ignore and even snap at her.

10. So Many Idols - Olympic Theme/Galaxy SIII

This CF has so many idol groups--SO MANY.  And they are all singing collaboratively while dancing together so this is a pure explosion of awesomeness.  Groups include miss A, Sistar, 4minute, ZE:A, MBLAQ, Nine Muses, B1A4, Dal Shabet, and 2PM's Junho and Nichkhun.  The song is nice and there are so many of them interacting with each other that this CF is pretty cool.
