- 11/9:Britney Spears Named VH1 'Save the Music' Ambassador

Britney Spears doesn't just have a new album on her plate in the coming months -- in fact, she has an extra responsibility afforded to her, courtesy of VH1.
The pop star has been named one of VH1's "Save the Music" ambassadors, Rolling Stone reports. Spears is joined by Hunter Hayes, Taye Diggs, Diane Birch and Cher Lloyd as 2014's class of ambassadors.
Past representatives of the program include Beyonce, Katy Perry, Kelly Clarkson, Jason Mraz and more.
Spears' eighth album, "Britney Jean," is scheduled for a Dec. 3 release in the U.S. Lead single "Work Bitch" has peaked at No. 12 on the Hot 100, while follow-up "Perfume" was released earlier this week.
